That is exactly what it started out as being. The early "Christians" were almost all Jews and tried to evangelize just to other Jews. It really wasn't until Simon Peter went to the house of Cornelius the Roman soldier that Gentiles(non-Jews) were accepted in the church. Even a Roman governor in the city of Corinth ruled that Christianity was just an off-shoot of Judaism. The first church council was called to address the issue of whether or not Gentile Christians should have to follow all of the ceremonial laws and regulations of the Jewish faith. The decision the Council made, recorded in Acts 15, basically stated that Gentile Christians should stay away from meat offered to idols, meat that still had blood in it, meat from strangled animals, and from sexual impurity. That is why Christians today do not live according to the laws and regulations of the Old Testament. Over time, as Christianity has become a Gentile dominated religion, the ties to the Jewish faith have decreased. But a true Christian should never forget the promises that God has given the nation of Israel, and should defend the autonomy of the nation of Israel.

There's a lot in that question! Yes, Christians ans Jews are related in their faith. We have the same father in faith: Moses and Abraham. Much of the Christian faith is the fulfillment of the Old Testament, which contains the Jewish law. However, Christians are not Jews.

Originally, Christians practiced their faith in the local Temple. Many believed that Christianity was a heresy, which angered God, and the latest Roman persecution was the result. So around 70 AD, the Jews banished Christians from practicing their religion in the Temples.

When St. Paul began to convert gentiles to Christianity many Church elders, who at the time, were apostles, believed that it was wrong. They insisted that gentiles had to first become Jews before they were able to be Christians since the Messiah was promised to the Jews. St. Paul believed that the Messiah was promised to all peoples and he pointed to the Magi as an example of this. He did not believe that gentiles needed to follow strict Jewish law to be Christians. I believe the First Council of Jerusalem settled the dispute and Paul's ideas were adopted.

So, spell it out, then, if you're leading to something!

You are partially correct, Judaism is a parent religion to Christianity, but not all Christians are Jewish. Jewish people who accept Jesus as their Savior are called Messianic Jews (I call them completed Jews). They still follow most of the Jewish customs, but have come to realize that their salvation has already been paid for by Jesus, they no longer need to make sacrifices for the atonement of sin.
Jesus Himself was against the Jewish "religious" leaders of the day, he called them "whitewashed tombs" "a brood of vipers" "stiff necked" along with many other things. That is not saying that anybody is ANTI-SEMITIC, SO DO NOT GO THERE.
The Jewish people are still looking for the Messiah to come. They are looking for a person who will deliver them from all persecution on this earth. That is not what the promised Messiah is to do. HE has already come and His name is Jesus.

Christianity, Judaism, and Islam are three brother faiths from the same roots. No, that doesn't mean they can all get along. Little nagging differences tend to be able to get people up in arms more than great big ones, somehow.

It's not exactly saying much of you that you accuse other people here of being narrow and then go ahead and try to tell us that all of Islam hates all Christians. I bet you don't even have any idea of how many people you're committing gross libel against.

you seem to be getting at something here...can you pick up the pace a bit? all you're saying is that there's a common ancestor to today's Jews and Christians (like paleontologists say there's a common ancestor to monkeys and man). That means nothing in the case of religion, specifically a religion like Christianity which for the first thousand years relied almost completely on conversion of non-believers. All Christians are not Jews just as all people are not apes.

In the name of Allah the most Gracious the most merciful
Jesus[peace be on him ] was sent to to the jews,The word
Christianity does not exist in the bible, how then did jesus[pbuh] become the saviour of the christians? The Jews are also supposed to have killed jesus [pbuh] ?
Now if you read Acts;2;22 The Bible says ''Ye men of Isreal.
hear these words,Jesus of Nazareth A MAN apporoved of God, amoung you with miracles and wonders and signs, which
God did by him"'
Mathew 10;5-6 & Mathew, 15;24 says that Jesus[ pbuh] was
sent only for the Jews i.e. to the lost sheep of Isreal.
So you see jesus is not your saviour God almighty is , Jesus
was a mighty messenger of God almighty sent to the jews. But
of course whatever proof is presented to the christians from
their own scriptures that are very clear to understand they will
intepret verses from the bible to mean otherwise,

Do you kow who are the ones who follow the Ten commandments it is the Muslims !who Follow strictly the first
commandment where God says'' i am thy Lord thy God though shall not bear strange Gods besides Me''
The Muslims say yes None has the right to be worshipped but
God almighty alone without any partners.
The jews are supposed to believe in The same message
brought by Mosses[pbuh]but they to attribute sons to god
almighty.
The christians are the best of all three Gods in one God or
one in three Gods ? or jesus[pbuh ] is a God ?son of God, they have yet to decide.
Do noy try to get the sympathy of the christians by accusing
Muslims of Hating you we do Not hate you we pity you
because you are following a religion and concepts and
doctrines that are man made and not to be found in the Bible
There is not a single verse in the entire Bible where Jesus[pbuh] has said ''I am your God worship me'' Show me this
sentence and i will believe jesus is divine.

By repenting and being forgiven, we are brought into God's family. Jesus calls us His 'brothers' and we can call God Father, therefore, through adoption, for lack of a better word, we become Jewish and receive their heritage.

This isn't something that consumes Christianity, however. We are content in knowing that we are loved by the Creator of the universe and that we belong in the family of Christ and are loved as 'birth' children, not adopted children.

Jewish heritage and history are woven through our life and beliefs as Christians but their rejection of Jesus Christ (most Jewish people, not all) as our Savior makes us of a different place in the family of God. The Jews are God's chosen people, yes, but there is only one way to Heaven and that is through His Son, Jesus Christ. I'm not saying that we're higher but there is much more to consider than heritage and promise.

I guess, in answer to your question, through the acceptance of Jesus Christ we are related to the Jewish people by His blood alone.

The key to Jesus is not what he is but what he did. Yes he is and was Jewish but the action and sins he took upon himself is what defines Christianity. Jews just don't believe that he was the savior. They are still waiting. Hope this helps

Yes, Jesus was meant as Judaism light for Gentiles.

Maybe the Muslims hate for Jews and Christians has something to do with their countries being invaded and their families killed by Jews supported by Christians. Hmmm.
