In countries like US and Canada, we are blessed with material things over our head. We even realize all we have and take everything for granted.

In many countries India, people have nothing to wear, have no electricity, have nowhere to live. In countries like China, churches sometimes have only one or two Bible for the whole congregation.

Do you think God disagrees with our lifestyle? Many Christians say they live for Christ but all they do is work, buy a nice house, buy a car, buy a nice television, go to the restaurants and movies, buy video games (that's me), etc. We buy hundreds of Christian books and CDs to make us feel more Christian. Are we living for ourselves? I don't want to live my life like that.

What do you think? How should we live our life?

OUCH! I agree whole heartedly and since about Thanksgiving time the Lord has been dealing with me about being thankful for everything I have. I truly feel like having the limited money that my family has is a blessing. Sometimes I look around and think, "I wish I could have that for my kids," but even though I buy most of our families clothes at the thrift stores, I feel very blessed to be able to do that. My family NEVER goes hungry and how much more blessed can we be than that.
The Bible goes as far as to say "Rejoice in your persecutions" and how many of us in the US and Canada are truly persecuted. None that I know of. We all could be contributing more to help our fellow man!!! WWJD

I think we should be thankful to live in such a blessed country, that is not a third world country, where we do have the means to go to work and have a quality lifestyle and continue to pray for and aid countries that do not have these luxuries... And I think God does agree with my lifestyle... It is due to all of the hard work that I am able to give and help others.

yes....Our current lifestyle began with the original sin. As humans we didn't trust God completely so we took life into our own hands. We didn't like the way God decided who died or who went hungry so we tried to defy the laws of nature that God set into place and we are still trying to defy those laws by living this lifestyle. Jesus told us that we can trust God completely but we said "no, we're are going to do this on our own" and continued on our path. How should we live our life? I don't think it matters because I don't think there's any possible way we can get there.

Maybe we should all read the Book of Job, where Job said "the Lord gives and the Lord takes away." We could easily end up like Job hoping God would restore us. God has blessed us and we take it forgranted. Reminds me of Israel before God let Nebuchadnezzar destroy Jerusalem. Jeremiah screamed, "repent and turn from your wicked ways." Yet, Israel continued and forgot God.

It's true. We're living the wrong life. We take everything for granted. We neglect God and his word. We are selfish, sinful, evil, and disobedient.

Fortunately, God sent his son to save us from ourselves (and Satan). He knows that we can't follow the law. That's why he sent Jesus to save us. He is our ticket to salvation. A God-pleasing life is certainly a good thing, but it will not get you into heaven. Only faith in Jesus Christ.

And I suppose you are giving half of your income to India. For Bibles and electricity of course. God doesn't disagree with any ones lifestyle not even India's. Your fantasy God has offered you his heard of pink unicorns. Why haven't you taken them?

God would not have a problem with my life or my lifestyle, even though I am an atheist.
