Which tv's are better for living room? LCD or Plasma?

LCDs are better for most applications. If you want a very, very large screen - like 55 or 60 inches, plasmay may be better.

LCD techonology has come a long way. There are no more ghosting issues, as the response time is down to 8ms on most good screens. Contrast ratios are way up, too. And the cost keeps falling. LCDs use far less power than a plasma, and don't run as hot.

If you want a very good living room TV, I suggest LCD, especially if you want 46" or below.

FYI - I have a new Sony Bravia XBR2 40" LCD HD TV, and it is the best TV I have ever seen or owned, period. I use it with HD cable and an XBox 360, and both look flawless. They make it in 46", too.
