DO NOT, give up on him! I'm sure he just needs that extra push from a girl like you, if you love him you will help him rather than just say "screw it i can do better" you will feel a lot better if you help him out, take him around looking for one, get him out there, get him exposed, get mad at him when he doesn't call for somthing he may be interested in. He is a good guy im sure, don't loose the faith.

LOL ok if he loves you he will do anything to please you. I motivating mine to finish higschool lol and get a stable job because I am finishing my bachelors degree and I want to continue my doctorate lol. I had fights with him about this that if he doesn't do anything money is going to be an issue in the future, and he understood, now he is going to finish higschool, and when we get together I will motivate him to get a college degree. Love is very important but certain factors can affect a relationship in the future, and that is money. If he truly loves you and wants to have a serious relationship with you in the future he would make the effort. He just needs to get motivated.
Tell him that when you get married you want to have enough money to have good things, like a good car, a good home, a trip to Europe, stuff that would make you happy, and he will understand.

You can't get with someone and expect him to change, even if he does become motivated enough to get a job he won't stay motivated enough to keep it. That's sad that you are putting yourself through that situation

If he really cares for you, tell him that you will leave him, unless he gets a job. Then see what he says or does. You can't change people that don't want to change. Believe me, I have tried. I was in the same situation. Good Luck :)

he should be motivated himself. tell him you don't want to date a bum and if he doesn't care then he doesn't care about your feelings. you are only trying to better him and if he doesn't respect that then dump that loser and find a guy with a job and a car that is willing to support and impress you.
