My dogs continue to urinate in the same spots where they have gone before even though I clean it with a spot carpet cleaner. Are there any products specifically made for the purpose of getting the smell out so my dogs will stop doing this? Thanks for your input.

Yes...1-gallon of water mixed with a half cup of bakind soda, 3/4 cup of good laundry soap ( I reccomend Tide) and a half cup of pure lemon juice. Pour a generous amount directly to the urine soiled area and after a few minuites take a discardable bath towel and rub/soak up the fluid from the area. Let dry thouroughly ( a couple of days) and then rinse the area with about 2-caps (half cup) of concentrated, fragranced, liquid fabric softener mixed with two cups or warm water. Once more, rub up excess moisture with paper towel and dry thouroughly. Keep dogs off this area till it is bone dry. You'll never know the smell (or urine) was there and this may dicourage your dogs from going pee on the rug and to do their business out of doors. A news paper rolled up, rattled and smacked on your palm with a stern "NO!"..."NO!"...."NO!" does a great job helping out with keeping the carpet fresh too!

If you can find a product called Diaper Pure for soaking baby's diapers this works the best. Mix a mixture of this with water, pour it on the spot and shop vac or soak it up. It neutralizes the smell. I saved a carpet this way. Oxyclean works but not as well.

White Vinegar

Not much else to say... other than if they are male to also wash the walls and woodwork down... lol

My little maltese were so bad.... they even had a doggy door out to their own small yard 100x100... and with 3 of them.. I never knew who the culprit was... Vinegar

I got so exasperated that one time I put vinegar water in the steam shampooer and it kept them good for about a month.. lol I have the big dogs now... so much easier.

GOOD LUCK

I have several dogs, all indoor. PetSmart has a product called Petzyme, it works great! It can take up to 2 weeks to completely dry but you can smell the difference in a few hours.

we use out. Its sold at walmart and is cheaper than what you can get at petsmart and petco. we have an old incontinent cocker spaniel, and you can't tell that he has down anything. Just make sure you dry up as much of the urine as possible before you spray. At least that is what works for us.

Urine Gone works great, and it comes with a black light urine detector. There is a website so that you can check it out for yourself, and best of luck!!

OdoBan is great for urine and other stinky smells in carpets. I use it with my shampoo machine rather than other products. You can generally find it at walmart.. etc.
