Yes there is! Go to the feminine isle at a drug store, and look at the yeast infection creams. If it has the main active ingredient as Miconizole, that'll work! Or try Neosporin AF (Athletes Foot). Either of those work fine. Apply until the scabs start going away. Also, get a good disenfectant that kills the Herpes Virus, and disinfect your house really well to avoid kitty getting ringworm again.
Good luck!

There are about 50 types of Ringworm, Which is not a worm its a fungus infection that invades compromised skin. You wont know which kind your animal has with out a trip to the vet. Using over the counter medications such as Lotrimin or TInactin is dangerous especially to cats, since cats clean themselves and will ingest this topical cream. The vet now can give a broad spectrum ORAL medication that is not that expensive and only takes a few weeks for the ringworm (several of the types are affected by this medication) something like Warfarin, Griesofulvin, or oral Lamisil. Also they will give you a topical medicated shampoo to get rid of spores that are on the skin and can transfer to you. There are few home remedies, and to get the right combination for the right kind of ringworm would be hit and miss. Popular wives tales will tell you to put Iodine on it, and sometimes a sulfur based shampoo but both are not effective for certain strains, take a LONG time, and are harsh and potentially dangerous to the animals. Go to the vet before you get it! That's the best remedy! I have had ringworm 7 times in my profession. I have brought it home to my menagerie of animals 2 times in the last 4 years, I know what I'm saying, it takes too long with topical ointments, the oral meds were the fastest and best.

Not really, you need to get to the vet to get a prescription. There is a shampoo out that contains Miconazole Nitrate and Chlorhexidine Gluconate as the active ingredients. This is used for cats/dogs/horses/etc. You may also be prescribed a medication such as Ketoconazole to be taken internally.
Depending on the severity of the fungal infestation, one or a combination of both the above may be used to control it.
Keep in mind that ringworm on your pet is easily transferable to humans. Wash your hands with hot soapy water after handling your pet until this is under control.

Please don't try to treat ringworm yourself, you need to go to the Vet to make sure that it is ringworm and to get the proper treatment.
If you have other cats in the household they'll need to be treated to, ringworm is contagious.

Look in the section where you find the Jock Itch medication.. or the Athletes Foot medication. Read the label to see if it includes ringworm..
In the good old days they used *yella soap*... lathered it up and let it dry on the ringworm...
My advice is go to Wal Mart... lol
GOOD LUCK
