YES, God had always favored Judas. Judas did not betray Jesus. Judas was Judah son of Jacob, who sold Joseph into slavery for 20 pieces of silver.
Genesis 37:28
Judas sold Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. Zec 11:13, Mt 26:15
Jesus told the the disciple whom he loved, who betrayed him in John 13:21-32, but in John 21:20-22. Peter asks Jesus what did that man say to you, as if did not hear when he was told that Judas betrayed Jesus, or did Jesus say that Judas betrayed him?
Now go back and read John 13:31, does it still sound like Judas betrayed Jesus, or was it Peter who betrayed Jesus. Deny me and I will deny you.

maximum present day Christians, even if laity, clergy, or theologians, nonetheless evaluate Judas a traitor. even if, some students have embraced option notions that Judas replaced into purely the negotiator in a prearranged prisoner change that gave Jesus to the Roman authorities with assistance from mutual settlement or acted with Jesus' understanding and consent to make certain the re-enactment of Biblical prophecy, and that his later portrayal as "traitor" replaced right into a historic distortion. Others see Judas as a literary invention reflecting divisions between early Christians or an attempt with assistance from Biblical authors to distance themselves from Judaism after the first First Jewish-Roman conflict.

No. About Judas, Jesus said: "True, the Son of man is going away, just as it is written concerning him, but woe to that man through whom the Son of man is betrayed! It would have been finer for him if that man had not been born.” Matt. 26:24

well, I dont know, but if Jesus was sent to die on the cross for our sins, then somebody had to betray him right. Because Judas did this, does that make him evil or was he part of the plan? makes you think, good question.

In theory, yes. He was fulfilling God's prophecy. If he had not betrayed Jesus, Jesus wouldn't have died on the cross.
Without evil, good cannot exist.
