i live in Nj, a judgement was awarded against me in the courthouse from a car repo 6 years ago. what i need to no is if this judgment was issued almost a year ago if they are going to freeze my acct. I have little to no money in there but id hate to write out a bill and one day have itbe frozen and the check bounces. how soon would they have done this? is there any recourse for me now, after the court date to not have them freeze my accts? a hardship or anything?

Ask a lawyer in your area.

You've already lost, so if you don't have the money don't try to spend anymore on this case....No FREE help leave it alone keep as little in that account let them get what you are giving. Seek better counsuling and maybe something can come up as you move forward with your life. A six year repo sounds as if its already given you bad credit .
Try your best to clear your bad credit history as fast as you can; but don't pay alot of money to do that either

The judgment letter should have had a payment schedule. As long as you comply with it you should be fine. Just be sure and pay of they can make your life miserable. If there was no payment schedule included, call the lawyer that represented the company that got the judgment and ask him he should be able to help you.

You should have no action taken upon you if you comply with the judges ruling unless he has specifically set up auto deductions from your account. You should have been ordered to pay by some method and unless you do not comply....you should be fine. If you faulter on the judgement, you can go to jail for contempt of court and possibly have the outstanding amount deducted. Then you really have concerns. My advice...pay up as ordered. Then you need not worry. Sounds like you have funds coming in...so you should be able to pay.
