I agree with the words to the good ole hymn, "This world is not my home, I'm just a passin' through!..."

What about you?

Hebrews 11:37-40

They (TRUE Chrisians) were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect. (King James Version)

This world is a beautiful gift from God. Even in the bible it was designed that way from the start. Humans introduced evil and suffering into this world, but that should not make this world evil.

Maybe if people stopped wanting to escape this world and instead starting wanting to live in it we would have a better time.

I never understand the Christian point of view that one is not to enjoy this world, to really live in it. Are you telling God that his work is not good enough? That the true nature and miracle of this world isn't enough? That God really didn't create this world for pleasure (responsible) and out of love?
