My steering wheel recently locked up for a split second on a left turn causing me to hit a concrete pole. Of course, Chrysler says damage to steering done on impact. I know better. This is a saftey issue for anyone who owns a 2007Dodge Ram Quad Cab 4x2.

None so far on my '07, 2500 SLT HD, QC, 4 x 4, 5.9 Cummins.
But will keep an eye out for signs of that, now that you have mentioned it.

courious question. I've known of a few later models like 02-05 where the idle arm went out at about 30 thousand miles. Was it the idle arm? I've seen problems from almost everyone I know about steering section parts on Dodge's

i own a repair shop,and a friend of mine bought one,and his is making a popping sound in it,like something is binding,i looked it over really good and cannot find it,but I'm glad i seen this i,ll call and warn him it may do this,i thought his felt a little tight on the steering,but then its new,so i didn't pay that much attention to it,but i,ll let him know about it,good luck with it,maybe they,ll get it fixed when the rest of it is repaired,enjoy it once you get it back.

Just wondering, do you have aftermarket tires on it? this could cause a rubbing issue if you turn too sharp. Let us know!! Good luck!!

I would get the old column from the shop and have it inspected by a third party.
