Right well im not trying to turn emo or anything I just love! the hair so much, at the moment my hair isnt very long yet isnt shaved if you know what I mean. I realise it'll take time to grow but in the mean time what can I do? prehaps dye it black? I dunno I just need help.

Haha, being in a 14-month relationship with an emo guy tought me some things, including how to do hair.
First, dye it black.
Add a wee bit of oil or hair cream so it'll be easy to slick down. NOT GEL!
Then, from the middle-top of your head part it horizontally.
Take the front part and brush/comb it down to the right. Add side bangs in your face, if you can.
Take the back part and just play with it.
Take a small-toothed comb and just flip it in difference directions.
Mainly left-right; so it'll be spikey.
That should be it.
Or you can do the same thing only not spike it in the back, so comb it downward.
But if you want a little color, get tips of blonde, red, orange. Warm colors, not cool.
Or you can chunk it, streaks.
If you decide streaks, make sure they're VERY thin and aren't a lot.

Dye it a dark color, buy a flat iron and straighten all your hair to cover half your face :) Good luck with getting you 'emo hair'!

Grow bangs, most important. Sexy sexy bangs.
I think it's more about wardrobe than haircolour with short hair. Hell you can be emo with blonde hair too, so I say style over colour, and short hair is fine, just dress the part.

Grow it long, dye it black, then cut it yourself, preferably in a way so that most of your hair covers one of your eyes and most of your forehead.

Explain to it why the world is so f'd up so that it gets really depressed and p issed off at itself and the world.. It's not gonna want to do anything not even go outside. Your hair will become emo by itself and just want to stay on your head and listen to sad music.

die yur hair blck nd cut long bangs on one side of yur head hanging in front of ur eyes and cut the rest below ur ear short but make sure yur hair is long and straight

I think you should die it black. Get it cut straight, no layers/feathering or anything. Get birght streaks in it, red/purple/blue etc.

dye it black, go get a straight perm, and make it stringy and nasty. thats emo hair.
