my boyfriend and I go to different schools. he won't let me wear skirts unless i see him.
two days ago he told me i could wear a skirt. i said it was ok and that it was cold anyways. and yesterday, i wore shorts because it was sunny and hot. i told him today and he got mad. why did he get mad? because i didn't tell him before i went to school?
is this normal?
by the way we're old enough to drive and progressively support ourselves so don't give me any immature answers. thanks

A better question to ask yourself would be "Why am I letting this boy tell me what I can wear?"
And no it is not normal. This boy sounds extremely controlling, and if you allow him to do it now, it will only get worse! If you want to depress yourself, watch Maury when he gets these control freaks on! It starts with small things, but next he'll tell you who you can talk to, where you can go, may cut you off from friends and family...
Unless you are planning on getting into a Dom/sub relationship... and you're still a bit young to choose a lifestyle.. find a new boyfriend!

your guy sounds as if he is controlling. For anyone to actually dictate to you on what you should wear and when you should wear it is an indication of lack of respect for you as an individual person with your own rights to make these decisions for yourself. Look at this as a red flag of worst days to come. Men who are controlling will eventually want to control every decision and aspect in your life. It most always starts with what you wear, then it will be his decision on who your friends are, what you can do and not do, if you can go to school, work, whatever, it most always gets worse. Either you stand firm and stop allowing him to tell you what you can and cannot wear or you will set the stage for future heartache as you find yourself feeling smothered and disrespected. k then its obvious to see he is trying to control u because of his own securities. This will eventually get worse and he will stop u from going out etc. Then when u move in of really start going out long term he might even get physically abusive and demand sex when he likes even if u dont want 2. so if someone tells u what to do they betta be ur mama or they can *** off.
p.s. dont listen 2 everything ur mama says she is human and can be wrong.

This is not normal. It is better to avoid such possessive guys in the beginning itself. Other wise it will give rise to complications in the relationship in future.
