I am with this girl... which I really love her and she lives in Iowa and I live in Texas... its not that far but still is that a good thing or a bad thing? I just thought I would get other people's perspective and see what they might have to say about it... No we have not met yet but we are working on that right now..

I think that if you love someone and you have not met. I don't know on how you would necessarily say that you love someone but okay that works too! I love giving answers.. I will talk to you later I love you!

Hmm I posted this in a similar question I saw her by coincidence:

Ok I am in a long distance relationship too. He is from Florida and I am from Puerto Rico. I love him to death and I have never meet a man so genuine like him. No I have never meet him in person but we are so honest and open that I feel I have meet him before. I have plans of continuing my graduate education next year. I want to move a state near where he lives, and see what happens.

It works only if you two are open and honest with each other. I have confronted him about everything, and we had fights all the time because I couldn't trust him in certain things. In the Internet is difficult to trust people but he has let me know in many ways that he is being honest and if we were together right now he would do anything for me.

This depends on the person really. Some people have had bad experiences because they haven't taken the time to know this person well, or find clues to see if he is honest. You have to be smart with this, and have a plan a, plan b, if it doesn't work.

Also this only works if you plan to see each other in the future and you are patient, if not the relationship is going to fade quickly.

Just listen to your heart. I have had beautiful experiences where I feel in my heart that God put that person in my life on purpose, so we can be together in the future. We need eachother very much, and I am going to work hard to be next to that man.

Long distance relationships are tough enough without adding in the fact that you haven't even met yet! Are they good or bad - that's not really the question - it totally depends on how much you care about one another, how trusting and trustworthy each of you are and whether or not you make plans for the future. Otherwise, why bother?

They can work I think, especially when you are two mature people working at it that can trust eachother. I don't believe it's really love until you actually meet and get to know one another in person, but I do believe you can actually develop feelings for the person. As, long as you have the communication lines open and trust eachother and take the time to meet and get to know eachother, who knows where it can lead. I do believe if it works, one of you would have to be willing to relocate or there really isn't a point to continuing the relationship. I actually have a similar situation going on right now and we are going to try meeting next weekend. He lives in IN and I'm in PA. If he turns out in time to be the one for me, I'm moving. We talk everyday on the phone and email and text during the day and definintely have the level of trust needed. But, we both agree we have to meet in person first before we decide if we want to take it to another level. Good luck! I hope things work out for you!

You must meet! Then you can decide if the relationship will work-I know a couple who spent 5+ years in a long distance relationship but they initially met in school...and today they're happily married-it can work if both parties can communicate and be creative with ways to connect when you're not physically together

I am a Marine, and while I was stationed in Japan, I met my wife on the Internet and I started talking to her when she lived in Tennessee. We talked for a few months and when I moved to North Carolina we talked and I flew to see her. Eventually we got married. Long distance relationships are not always a bad thing.
