It depends what your goals are.

If you want to get a bigger chest overall with strength then do flat, incline, and decline bench.

If you want to give your chest a good figure with some strength, then do incline, flat, and decline dumbbell presses. Dumbbell flyes are good too along with cable cross overs.

I perfer using dumbbells because they are less stressful on your body. using dumbbells gives you a getter range of motion giving you a better shape then a barbell would.

In my opinion, barbell bench should be more focused for powerlifters since it is more of a compund exercise than using dumbbells. I'm not saying don't use a barbell, but if you want the shape, then use the barbell once and awhile. If strength is your goal, thn use the barbell.

Dips are good, but make sure you do them when you also work your delts (shoulders) and triceps too. this is one of the best compound exercise. Dips work your lower chest, triceps, and front delts.

Pullovers are also good, but also workout your back and abs. it is a good superset with back day.

To perform a pulover, you just lay on a flat bench with your head dangling over the end of it. Take a barbell and make sure your hands are a couple of inches apart. Hold the barbell above you, then slowly lower it over your head until your arms are fully extended, you will feel a stretch in your chest, lats, and abs.

I like the declined exercises because I feel they really isolate the chest, instead of using your shoulders. When doing the standard flat or inclined presses, it feels like your shoulders take a lot of the load off your chest. Declined presses make you use your chest.

A word of caution when doing the declined dumbbell press: Make sure you can handle the weight and stay balanced with it. Using a weight that is too heavy will take away from your range of motion and overall effectiveness of this exercise. Also make sure you stay balanced.

Bench Press, Chest Fly, Dips are all good chest exercises.

Be sure to keep your shoulder exercises consistant with your chest exercises, otherwise with too many chest exercises, the position you hold your arms at your side while resting will be affected. Giving you a caveman stance.

Bench press, dumbell presses. Generally, compound exercises are more effective at putting on muscle.
