Have you ever said something that you really didn't mean? My brother was sitting beside me in lunch when he heard me say "My parents do nothing for me." I was mad that day. Ok, really mad. But the point is that he went and told my parents so now they hate me! They said they are very diappointed in me. they didn't even give me a chance to explain. They just dealt their punishment and that was it. Now I hate my brother. Shouldn't younger siblings mind their own biusness? Is he just looking for a way to make me look bad and him look good? I'm so totally confused and need a good apoligy for my parents. Can you help me out? I'd appreciate it.

Trust me, your parents don't hate you. It is nearly impossible for a parent to hate their child. I know this is cliche, but talk to your folks. Tell them you were just venting and you are sorry that you hurt their feelings (you are sorry about that, right?) Make them give you a chance to explain.
And about your younger brother - get used to it unfortunately. My younger sister still tattles on me and we're adults now!

I've been on both sides of this one. You don't need an apology from your parents. They need one from you.
Just think of how your parents (and your brother for that matter) felt when they heard that you don't think they do anything for you. I'm sure they were hurt.
When you sit down at your computer or get dressed in the morning or eat a meal or go to sleep in your bed at night, remember where it all came from. Your parents provide for you because they love you. And unfortunately, sometimes parents get so busy providing for their kids that they forget to really be there for them. Even if you are a teenager, you still need your parents' attention. If that's the case, let them know.
Explain to your parents what was going on that day and how you really feel. From the sound of things it can't hurt and it just might help.
One more thing. Younger brothers are a pain, but go easy on him.

Tell your parents you were just having a bad day and felt sad. Talk to them "daily" about your day, needs and wants. Communication is key. Maybe they didnt understand you because of lack of daily communication. After your punishment talk to your parents with an apology first and then explain what you really meant. Be kind they are your parents and they want the best for you. Every day try to include them in your life and also let them know how you feel about things.

yeah it happened all the time. i think that you need to go to your parents and explain that you were very upset about what happened and that you didn't mean what you said. as for the sibling part the best i can tell you is that its going to happen and if you wish to avoid another incident like this i suggest that when you say those things that your brother can't hear it or better yet don't say it at all. when you talk to your parents you need to look sincere. good luck

siblings always do that they want all the attention plus 10 so if i were you id go to my parents and tell them he heard you wrong and that you said wait until my parents do nthing for me see then you explain from there that your talking about when you decide to move away and get married

just explain to your parents that you were angry and it just slipped out...it happens, maybe your brother didnt understand how it would make your parents feel..

we do say bad things when we get angry but that doesn't mean that we mean what we say just try to explain to them that u didn't mean it and u are really sorry.
