Ah yes... schadenfreude... the true source of all humour.
God is a sadist... everyone knows it really. Just check the old testament for details.

When one is soley responsible for the life, the Universe and everything, then one has to make the villains as well as play the hero.... and take responsibility for the arseholishness as well as its solution.

Must be terribly boring being a one-god puppet-show with loads of puppets and no audience.

--No Jehovah God does not joke when it comes to the bringing on of Armaggedon, to bring an end to the wicked and a sick world.

--Notice who thought God was joking when there was a major judgement on Sodom in progress:

(Genesis 19:12-14) “12 Then the men said to Lot: “Do you have anyone else here? Son-in-law and your sons and your daughters and all who are yours in the city, bring out of the place! 13 For we are bringing this place to ruin, because the outcry against them has grown loud before Jehovah, so that Jehovah sent us to bring the city to ruin.” 14 Hence Lot went on out and began to speak to his sons-in-law who were to take his daughters, and he kept on saying: “Get up! Get out of this place, because Jehovah is bringing the city to ruin!” But in the eyes of his sons-in-law he seemed like a man who was joking.”

Does the following indicate a prank that God made or was it real?

......23 The sun had gone forth over the land when Lot arrived at Zo′ar. 24 Then Jehovah made it rain sulphur and fire from Jehovah, from the heavens, upon Sod′om and upon Go·mor′rah. 25 So he went ahead overthrowing these cities, even the entire District and all the inhabitants of the cities and the plants of the ground........(Genesis 19:27-29) “27 Now Abraham made his way early in the morning to the place where he had stood before Jehovah. 28 Then he looked down toward Sod´om and Go·mor´rah and toward all the land of the District and saw a sight. Why, here thick smoke ascended from the land like the thick smoke of a kiln! 29 And it came about that when God brought the cities of the District to ruin God kept Abraham in mind in that he took steps to send Lot out of the midst of the overthrow when overthrowing the cities among which Lot had been dwelling.”

--Does it seem that Abraham was amused by what he saw.

--Did Jesus believe that what happened in the Flood & in Sodom & Gomorrah was just a story of jokes:

(Luke 17:25-30) “. . .. 26 Moreover, just as it occurred in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of man: 27 they were eating, they were drinking, men were marrying, women were being given in marriage, until that day when Noah entered into the ark, and the flood arrived and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise, just as it occurred in the days of Lot: they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building. 29 But on the day that Lot came out of Sod´om it rained fire and sulphur from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 The same way it will be on that day when the Son of man is to be revealed.”
