I would kill to protect my family! Absolutely no doubt about it.

Depends on the situation. If the 'mugger' was happy with just my wallet and keys, then I'd give those up in a heartbeat.
But, if the mugger wasn't satisfied with this, and wanted some sort of physical/sexual thing as well, I'd have to reconsider, of course it's all situation (is the person wiry or jumpy, is he/she calm and collected, did I see their face?, ect)
There was a situation where two men took 3 couples hostage, took their money, and then proceeded to rape them, and force them to rape each other. After that, they tapped and blindfolded the couples, told them they were just going to drive them far away from the house so the robbers/rapists could go back to the house and take their time grabbing stuff. Instead, they drove them to a farm and shot all six of them execution style in the head. One woman survived, and managed to crawl to a farm house, call the police, and was able to catch them.
People are sick, and they may not just be out for your money. Self protection is absolutely essential, To prevent an attack, I would kill without mercy.

I would gladly lay down my life to protect my family and would be willing to defend any member of my family if lives were at stake. If it's only money, the mugger can have it but when it comes to taking a life, Deadly Force is Authorized.

I would go so far as giving away everything I had on me to satisfy the muggers and get them to move away. I would take my wallet out and toss it to them and move backward. The handover of possessions is when most muggings become violent.

If it did become violent I would straight arm the person right to the throat and watch them drown in the blood of their own crushed larynx.

I would eat the muggers alive,. Literally. And I'm not even that big a fan of red meat.

I would knock out the mugger, tie them up, call some friends and then go about torturing them until they were at deaths door. Then I'd call a friend of mine who is a qualified paramedic to make them healthy again and then do it all again to them if they ever went near my family.

As humans, we all value our family of four a hundred times higher than the lives of say four masked intruders. It's human nature - ... the only issue is what response is the most appropriate when you can expect assault & battery or murder charges for defending your valuables & loved ones with heavy violence ?

If nobody beats the sh&%t out of or catches & prosecutes these people, they will just keep invading more people's homes & attacking more people on the street, right?

i'd kill a mugger -- absolutely.

and i pity anyone that ever tries to break into my home when i'm there -- there may not be many body parts left that are big enough to use for identification. i have a "small arsenal" and a really bad attitude towards miscreants that break into other people's homes - LOL.

If I was mugged Id let them take anything so long they didnt hurt me. If I was attacked I think my anger would kick in. Id advise my children to do the same thing as material things are just that! However if I was to see a family member being attacked I think that Id freak out as well!!!

I would go so far as to attempt to establish diplomatic relations with the mugger, possibly leading to some "fair trade" agreements. He would need to agree to comply with weapons inspectors to make sure he isn't secretly arming himself. I would apologize to him for any members of my family that wanted to build a fence around our yard to keep him out, and if any member of the community resorted to violence against him, I would protest in front of their houses to demand that they set a firm date that they would be ceasing hostile actions.

Then we'd all sing a rousing chorus of KumBaYah and work together to eliminate Global Warming.

I would go to whatever lengths are necessary up to and including murder to protect my family. However, I strongly believe in letting felons suffer for a good long time before putting them out of my misery. I have also found that intimidation works as an excellent deterrent.

I had a neighbor last summer, who just happened to be a Mexican drug dealer, who threatened to kill my husband because we put a fence up around our property to keep them out. I took out my .44 cal. and my 9mm. and showed them how accurate a shot I was up close and at a distance (practiced on targets/ not humans). They have left us alone since.
