Wait. Just wait. Tattos represent something special. Not just because you have strange skin. If you DO have a tattoo you want to get that has a REALLY special meaning talk to your parents and tell them how important it is to you!

Don't get one on a spur of the moment, i did and i am not to fond of that particular tattoo. When i was fourteen i really wanted one but my parents would not let me have one no matter what, they wouldn't even let me pierce anything other then my ears. Well that time between fourteen and eighteen allowed me to choose the tattoo that i love, and still do. The tattoo i got as a spur of the moment came later when i was twenty, you'd think by then i'd be grown out of doing things rashly but oh well. I can tell you that it is big and on my ankle and now if i ever get a job at a place that doesn't allow tattoos then i will have to wear pants the whole time. So it goes to show that you should always take the time to make decissions on things defeniatly big things like a permant tattoo. For now listen to your parents cause if the tattoo happens to get infected you will have to tell your parents and is being grounded until your sixteen worth it ? Try waiting till your sixteen to get one with their permission

Draw the same design on everyday for a month, and you'll find out really fast how quick the whole tattoo desire will fade away.
I have a friend that had a tattoo done on her breast when she was 15, and now 10 years later it looks disgusting.
I know this sounds corny, but go have fun, flirt, hang out with friends, do teenager stuff.... trust me you'll have plenty of time to do grown up stuff once you're of legal age.

The legal age to get a tattoo is 18 in NH. You can not even get one when you are given permission by your parents. Trust me waiting is best. I have 7 tattoos and I was happy that I waited until I was older and knew exactly what I wanted.

Without parental consent the Tattoo Artist would be held legally liable. While your uner the age of 18 your parents have every right to tell you no. Just wait, if it is that important to you, you can wait.
FYI, I waited till I was 18 and Im glad I did. That way I was able to get what I wanted when I wanted it.

Listen to your parents on this one. You are probably not finished growing yet. If you get a tattoo now, it might stretch and warp when (if) you grow anymore.
A decent tattoo artist will check your ID.
Do not let someone try and 'tattoo' you using a needle and india ink. Those rarely ever look good. I know several people who didn't want to wait and now they all regret it.
Wait until you are 18, and during that time, think about what you want. That way, by the time you are ready to get it, you will know exactly what you want.

You are 14 - Come 2 years from now, you will hate whatever you get done. Wait until you are an adult (18+) to get a tattoo.
