What's the difference between being a tomboy and actually wanting to be a boy?

being a tomboy just means you're more comfortable doing male activities and dressing more "boyish" but you're still attracted to males. Like me, I dress in more comfortable male clothes like hoodies and basketball shorts most of the time and I love sports and dirty jokes and male humor and I have a boyfriend.

But actually WANTING to be a boy means you're probably a lesbian, like one of my friends, she got her hair cut short, dresses in ALL male clothes, wears men's cologne and she likes the vagina.

I was a tomboy and i just didnt like dresses or little girl things. I think wanting to be a boy would be that plus wishing they looked like a boy and never really growing out of that.

I would say that being a tomboy means that you don't care or pay attention, to the "stereotypical" description of what it means to dress and/or act like a girl. I think wanting to be a boy would be a totally different feeling of not feeling comfortable in your female body.

Tomboy - refers to a girl, behaving and dressed up like a boy but the mind and body still accept that she is a girl.

Wanting to be a boy - refers to outwardly looking like a girl but mind and body are both fighting to make the change to a boy.

A tomboy isn't afraid of snakes, spiders...they like sports, playing outside in rough, dirty areas......they wear more shorts and overalls than dresses and ribbons.

Wanting to be a boy is something that is confirmed in later life (after puberty) that usually involves lesbianism, and a desire for gender reassignment.
