That scripture is speaking of everlasting life on a paradise earth.
Once the earth turned to a paradise and human life will be perfect, no one will be able to rule or try to govern. God's kingdom will be the only standing government.

The seed that is in you. In 10:26 note that those who do not believe were not sheep to begin with.

Note in the story of the Prodigal son that he was ever a son before he was a prodigal.

Look at Gal. 4:6. If you see this in these three areas you should see it in many places. Gal. 4:6 says that the spirit which cries Abba Father is sent to those who are ---already sons! We are not called to be sons -- we are called because we were sons in God's sight from the beginning.

So to answer your question again. It is the seed that is in your that responds to the light, to His voice, His word, His spirit, or to the Scriptures. Not all may have what it takes to respond. They may respond and never attain or respond and fall away. The true sheep are never lost.

In the Gal. 5 you must realize that the adoption spoken of is a reference to a man adopting his own son and not some unrelated outcast.

So you could well say you know His voice because of the spirit that is in you; but it is more correct to say that you had the ear to hear before your ever heard the voice.

John 10:28 and I give eternal life to them, and they shall never perish; and no one shall snatch them out of My hand.
John 10:29 "My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.
John 10:30 "I and the Father are one."

Eternal life is given by Jesus because He has the power to judge.
He Acts as the Father and is the same as the Father.
Yes, He is talking of our spirit, not the body. The spirit is the real you.
We are spirits that live in mortal bodies.

Time is of no concern for our GOD. Time was sanctioned by GOD for man to tell the time and night from day so he would kmow when to rest.
Those that the Lord has chosen can not be snatched or taken from the hands of GOD. This is the area called predestination.
The ages are all ages for the Lord has chosen and the Lord does not lie.
the rapture will be those same hands snatching us away in the twinkling of an eye.
JN 10:25 Jesus answered, "I did tell you, but you do not believe. The miracles I do in my Father's name speak for me, 26 but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. 27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. 30 I and the Father are one."

The Amplified Bible is like a Chinese menu translation. All the translation ambiguities are laid out in front of you for your edification and everlasting befuddlement. I advise you use it as a door stop.

This is how the New Revised Standard Version phrases it:

"I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one will snatch them out of my hand."

The amplified bible? That's a new one to me.

The passage you refer to is just the standard "Believe on me, and you shall be rewarded" speech. Most of Jesus' preserved sayings are of this type. Even his parables are largely devoid of moral value, and simply enjoin people to believe in him to secure eternal life.

When you belong to God, there is nothing that can take you from Him. The spirit is eternal.

No...
It refers to eternal security in Christ.

No one can steal us away from the salvation given to us by God through the shed blood of Christ on the cross.

It's the substitutionary, atoning death, burial & resurrection.....and our faith in Him alone that saves us......by grace.
