Imagine-you come out of Wal Mart-could use a cold one. Instead of having to settle for a Pespi you can drop in a buck in a vending machine and get a ice cold can of Bud or your other favorite brew to help take the edge off on your way home.
Wouldnt that be a great idea?

Underage Smunderage.
I was thinking they could install them in schools as well, to help the kids get through the day.

and in Japan they have beer vending machines on the side of the roads at the train stations plus they have machines that you can buy a bottle of liquor( whiskey, vodka, gin.....)
and sometime just steps from your apartment also they have these vitamins drinks that knocks out a hang over in about 1 hour

The machines can't check for underage drinking. I believe foreign countries allow it, but have a sign prohibiting the sale to minors, and just trust the kids will follow the rules, we don't have that same level of trust in the USA.

It would be great but it would have to be credit card only for age limits on drinking etc.... and even then anyone could steal a credit card and use it.

Its all about policing underage drinking.

It will never happen Dream on Buddy !!!

No because it would be to easy for underage drinkers to purchase alcohol. The vending machine
cannot take and look at a driver's license. It would also contribute to drunk driving.

I think there would be a lot more 15 year olds hanging out at the local walmart!

Great idea! And to those that say about underage drinkers, what about cigarette machines that are widely available - you can't check their age for them either!

How would you control what age group has access to the beer?

And, you are aware that drinking and driving is against the law, aren't you?

It will be outrageous if they did because even minors can get a hold of a beer. It would be promoting alcholism. Think about it.

Yea, that's just what the school system needs is a bunch of punch drunk students, as if the schools don't have enough trouble as it is.
