I was told two days ago that I am having a little baby boy... I am so super excited but I dont want to get a lot of boy stuff yet... I am scared that when I deliver it will be a girl and I will have all boy things for her!

The tech told us right off the bat it looked like a boy... then she got him to open his legs and there was a little thing poking out in between... I know this sounds like a penis.... but I have heard it could also be the labia swollen...

I am 16 1/2 weeks - any advice? should I just believe it is in fact a boy?

I have had 3 boys and everytime they told me that it was a boy. Never wrong. As a matter of fact by my 3rd son, I saw the ultrasound and before the doctor said its a boy I could already see that is was. It was easy to see. Now Im pregnant with a girl and I have no idea what anyone was seeing. ..lol. It definitley didnt look like the boy.

LOL i understand ur concern but im sure if the tech is going to say one sex or the other then she is pretty sure it is what it is. I have been told i am having a boy as well and im sure its a boy. congradulations, i hope u get what u want. oh yea... another idea would be is to load up on girl stuff too if u are really that freeked out on the tech being wrong. u could always use them later if u ever have a girl or just bless someone

I had a sonogram with my first one at 8 months. They showed me the penis. We were certainly surprised when SHE was born.
