There was alot involved on many fronts... in WWII the desire of the German people for a strong leader and expansion lead to the rise of Hitler who through a brilliant use of propaganda convinced his people that the Jews were traitors (had nothing to do with religion, the Jews just hadthe money, and everyone else wanted it). Throughout the rest of the world countries were not prepared to send their men to die for another country, and with out resistance the German invasion picked up it's pace until the SS was knocking on the doors of French farmers. Behind the scenes the Germans were able to take out their pent up hatred frustration and guilt on the scape goat jews. When everyone puts in a little bit, the total sum of destruction is always devestating.

It happens when a lot of people follow one teaching and arrogantly try to press it upon the rest of the world. It makes little difference whether they follow a person or a deity, the outcome is the same. It also makes little difference whether the teaching is considered to be beneficial or harmful.

People follow out of a sense of not wanting to be alone, and they try to impose the teaching on others to allay their own fears and doubts - a problem shared is a problem halved.

In a way it was the fault of one man. He was able to brainwash all those other people into believing that his way was the right way.

I guess the main human behavior that brings that all about is not being able to think for yourself and not knowing right from wrong. I mean I know that killing people because of their religion, or race is wrong because I know right from wrong, and I don't care who's telling me otherwise I'm not going to start killing people because of those reasons.

The ideals and ideology of one man affected the whole world.

Jesus affected the whole world with love

Hitler affected the whole world with hate.

Hate and love are opposites yet both are powerful and incite riots and war.

ignorance, fear, greed.

The factors leading to war are often complicated and due to a range of issues. Where disputes arise over issues such as sovereignty, territory, resources, religion, or ideology and a peaceable resolution is not sought, fails, or is thwarted, war often results.

It all comes down to Hatred. I personally think Hitler was the spawn of the Antichrist. Sort of a little preview of things to come.
