I'm in the same situation as you!! I'm 23 and just become single after a 5 year relationship --- and I'm having the best time!! I'm still enjoying the getting drunk and staying out all night and snogging random men bit at the moment but it is strange after being with some one for so long then to suddenly just be on your own!! Make the most of this bit because before you no it you will be back in another relationship!!Have a holiday with Friends, get a new hobbie and just generally do things you wouldn't have done when you were in a relationship!! Have fun x

I'm not that recently but I remember the thrill of being free from a horrible man, from a horrible marrage. I stayed out late, I walked around my new cheap apartment naked. I did what ever I wanted with out having to think about someone else, to worry if I'm 2 min late I'll either get yelled at or thrown down the stairs. Congratulations on your divorce. Enjoy your new freedom, take the time to know you to learn what you will and won't stand for. Then go meet a good person, someone who will treat you the way you deserve.

Of course it seems weird, you're not used to it, and you're a bit older now too. Maybe there's more to being single than just staying out all night and drinking as much beer as you like?

take time to find out who you really are with out a partner what makes you happy (don't say being a couple!) get your head really screwed on tight so that you know what you want out of life learn too really enjoy being single then when your not looking someone will be attracted to this bubbly independent confident person and you will attract the kind of person who is like minded

Catching up with mates you didn't get to see much when you were a couple - either not enough time or your ex didn't like! Do things you enjoy - did you have a hobby you gave up - you could start again - or just try a new one?

i think the best way is to have as much fun as u can.. go out with friends.. meet new people without the heavy feeling, like when u had a boyfriend.. get to know people closer.. search for a career.. go after it.. find a goal or dream, and run towards it with 100% focused mind.. that's what i'd do..

What not to do... sleep with randoms because you can! It will only make you feel rubbish. The best thing to do is just enjoy being with your friend and enjoy your freedom and being able to do what you want when you want. Don't rush into another relationship.
