Drink lots of water. Take a potassium supplement-it helps regulate water.

Avoid prepared frozen, canned, and any type of packaged foods, such as ramen noodles or anything that needs to be reconstituted. These foods contain mega amounts of sodium. Healthy choices for you to snack on during the work day would be bananas and they are easy to eat on the go. They also contain a high amount of potassium, which would help you keep your blood pressure at a normal rate, if this is your goal. Unsalted nuts are also a good choice. Drink low acid OJ, it will keep your energy up and for some reason, the low acid variety seems to have more potassium than the regular. Boars Head makes a lower sodium turkey that you can pair with salt free or multi grain crackers. Drink as much water as you can handle. Your body will not retain, if you are providing it with enough H2O.

believe it or not, drinking lots of water gets rid of retained water. it flushes the salt out of your system so you won't retain water. there are lots of low sodium foods available. just read the label when you shop or look for Low Sodium on the front of the label. just avoiding salty snacks, like potato chips might be enough.
