The only reason to do anything is for yourself. If getting fit and looking good makes you happy then do it. Sadly your Ex is exactly that your Ex, dont do anything to try and make her jelouse you will just prolong your own heart ache. It seems like you are not over her, these things take time, but you have to move on and live for you. Unfortunatly relationships work and break, thats life. Pick your self up, stop feeling low and start concentrating on you, find happiness elsewhere.
Good luck and hope this helps.

You should question why you want to do this. Get fit and look good by all means but do it for yourself, not her. As to making her jealous that is a dangerous and stupid game. If it is an effort to get her back then it is even more stupid as you say she is fine about you splitting up. She has obviously moved on and you should do the same. Sorry for being so blunt as I know it's not easy when a relationship breaks up.

Its not stupid, if it'll help you do it, don't expect the jealous thing to actually happen though because in my experience when I went on a fitness frenzy about 4 years ago it didnt make the ex jealous at all. But made me feel better and exersize and eating healthily are very good for boosting happy chemicals in your brain.

It might work for that. But if you are going to do all that do it for yourself, don't do it for someone else! It will be a good confidence booster for you, and who knows maybe if you are concentrating on that and not her, you'll be ok with the breakup when you are done! That did it for me! My ex hasn't even seen me since I've dropped 4 sizes but I feel great about myself and don't really think about him at all anymore. Even if I saw him, I wouldn't want him back to be honest. Trust me, you won't just seem happy, you probably will be and that will just make you more attractive to that many more girls!

I think that you should concentrate less on making your ex jealous, and more on making yourself happy. Getting fit and being happy is great, but do it for yourself and not for someone else. You should want to be happy and healthy; it's a great confidence booster, and helps with self esteem. Forget about your ex, and do this for yourself, so that you can move on.

It's not stupid to get fit. That's always a plus. But-- going through all of this just to "seem happy" seems a bit self destructive. What if you do all this for her and then she just doesn't care? Will that make you feel worse than now?

My opinion would be to get fit, and actually BE Happy. Jealosy and regret are two things that you should strive to live without.

good luck.

It's not stupid. I lost 10 lbs after breaking up with my ex! That was an accident caused by depression and lack of appetite though. I lost another 5 because I felt he should realize all that he missed out on. It's perfectly normal. If it makes you happy, go for it!

People are and Ex for a reason, I'll never understand the need to make someone jealous after a break up, let it go, man up and move on, for the love of God.

Only do it if it makes you happy, screw her, if you go to all that effort purely in an attempt to make her jealous then you're the only one losing out.

Best bet is to get a hotter woman than her who you'll be happy with, then you'll be the winner in the situation.

But if that doesnt mae you happy then read the question i asked about being single earlier on, then go have some beers and fun.

it's a brilliant thing to do as something to make you happier and more confident, as well as that extra bit healthier...

it's a stupid thing to do if your primary reason is to have an effect on an ex... she took herself out of your life. on the other hand, I can understand where you're coming from. best I'd hope for isn't "jealous" so much as "kicking herself for breaking up with you"... ;)
