it doesn't hurt that much, i mean i can't even feel it if i don't touch it, a sunburn feels totally worse, but none the less is irritated. i also noticed it was kind of shiny, but not red. So any ideas on how to help it heal? and, is my hair going to fall out in this kind of irritation?

I suggest you call your doc and have the doc examine the area - in case your hair would fall out and you might need a prescribed medication.

For home use - I suggest olive oil - in small amounts, massaged into the scalp.
It's natural and good for the skin.
No shampoo for awhile, and if you have to wash your hair, just use - water until the scalp heals or until you get to a doctor.

GOD bless us always.
(my mom was a hairdresser for 52 years and many women burned their scalp when they tried to color their own hair, and she used the olive oil treatments - sometimes she warmed the oil just a slight amount).

Apply some burn cream or some type of burn spray before you go to bed and in the morning wash your hair in shower. I dont think your hair will fall out.
