I found out that I have thyroid disease a year ago. I was at 184 lbs. Since then I have lost about 30lbs. I have recently completely changed my lifestyle since then. I workout (cardio) for an hour everyday. I eat healthy. I drink NOTHING BUT water. Maybe milk sometimes. I DON"T eat junk. I really don't like sweets. I have lost 5lbs and 1 inch in my stomach since I started back exercising and made it my daily routine. I want to loose 20 more lbs. Is there anything besides diet pills that will boost my weight loss. I really want to wear a bikini this summer.

It sounds like you have an excellent routine. The main thing that I would add that would speed up the process is weight lifting. The increased lean mass burn extra calories 24 hours/day because muscle needs calories just to exist.

Also, although broccoli, cabbage, and cauliflower are good for most people, you may want to avoid them because they are goitergens and will slow down your thyroid even more than it already is.

Overall, great job and here is a link to a sample workout that you could throw in to mix things up.

P.S. When you do cardio, you can vary the intensity in the same workout because interval training is more effective at boosting your metabolism than using constant intensity.

Try a cleansing diet! I did and lost 11 pounds and 21 inches in only 9 days. I was very happy with the results and continued on the program and lost 29 pounds in 5 weeks. This is the fastest I have ever lost with other diets like Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, Medifast, Slimfast etc…. Cleansing works by removing impurities from your body. You get impurities from your food (pesticides, preservatives, food additives, colorings) water, chemicals, pollution, medications, alcohol, hormones that the animals you eat were fed etc….YUCK! The impurites get coated with fat and remain in your body. To remove the fat, you have to remove the impurites. This system worked for me, maybe it can work for you too. You can check out the website or call this toll free number 1-877-587-4647 for more info. The program is not cheap, but it is worth every penny since it works and keeps you motivated. Good luck! Several things that may help. Sounds like you are exercising, but are you exercising correctly? Are you achieving and maintainging an elevated heartrate? For a person in thier 20s you would want to hit and maintain 130+bpm for 30s you need 123+bpm. If you are athletic then another way to get your metabolism rolling is to zipzag. Go from 123-150(or 130-165 depending on your age)bpm for your entire exercise routine. Spend a minute at the 150bpm then return to the 123 for 4 mintutes and repeat. Weight training is another way to burn fat. You will not bulk up but add some upper and lower body resistence training. A pound of muscle is smaller than a pound of fat and muscle burns fat even when at rest. Arm curls(3 rests of 10) Chest Press(3 sets of 10), Lat Pull Downs(3 sets of 10). Work all the major muscle groups.

The term "I eat healthy" is decieving. Just eating health wouldn;t make a difference if you are eating too much. Go to www.thedietician.com and put your stats in to determine the number of calories you will need to eat each day to lose weight. Start at the number they give you and adjust based on your level of hunger. Remember you need to cut 500 calories per day for a week off of your basal calorie count( the number of calories it takes to sustain your weight). This can be done by eating less or moving more( 250 clories of less food and 250 calories on the treadmill). Back to exercising, what are you doing? Treadmill? Eliptical? Bike? Remember your body needs to be challenged in order to burn calories, mix it up! The eliptical machine burns the most calories/minute over all the other machines. I suggest 20min bike, 20min Eliptical, 20 Treamill or anyother combination that you like but definately mix it up and remember to maintain that heartrate. Most machines have a montior attached but if not get a HR watch(I recomment the Polar F11). Lastly...how much protien are you getting a day? Remenber to balance you protein and carbs. We were not made to eat one or the other you want to try and eat both with each meal. Good Luck!

P.S. losing 1-2 pounds a week is the safest AND easiest to keep off when you have finally lost it. If you starve yourself you won' lose the weight for long.

Eat bran. And oatmeal - I've yet to see a fat scotsman.
Power exercise even more. Diet pills are hoke in my books."they do slim the wallet area though.....so I guess they do work"

Eat lots of fiber. This is kinda gross, but it helps you poop out more calories!
