RCN Sucks.....biggest waste of money for the worst system, channels etc.....stay away from it

Time Warner....little bit more expensive but you pay for what you get

I have RCN for phone in Queens. With the phone lines they don't actually own the cables so when there was a problem I had to deal with them and verizon too. I don't know if the cable situation is the same. Not exactly user-friendly. Customer service is ok but for cable I think Time Warner is the way to go They have everything and are very reliable. My cable bill is high but it's because I have a lot of options. Call them and see what's best for what you intend on watching. It makes no sense to pay for what you aren't going to use. I have DVR with them as well. I love it. Very easy to use. OK, I don't want to sound like a commerical for them, it's just my opinion.

I know someone who lives in Little Neck and she has Time Warner Cable and Internet. She likes it. You're right, however, Time Warner will add taxes to your bill. That's the only hidden cost. Taxes however should be less than $30. Closer to $20.
