I told her I liked her six times, and after months of allowing my feelings to build and not saying anything, she said she never liked me. I know for a fact that she is lying and did at one time. Anyway, she wants to be friends and for our friendship to grow. I am very hurt, and I told her our friendship is over. The other night we were at a meeting, and I was talking to another girl. She kept looking over at me according to my friends. Later after the meeting, she kept trying to maneuver so we could talk. I do not want to talk to her because she blames me for everything even though she flirted. Why is she trying to talk to me? Can't she take a hint??

Has it occurred to you that she liked the attention more than anything else? No, it was not the most mature choice on her behalf but it seems that could be the basis here. If she did not say anything but enjoyed your attention that is an answer all in itself my friend. It does not sound based upon what you wrote above, that she ever expressed a romantic interest in you. A friendship interest yes, but not a romantic interest. Unrequited love is difficult...but being angry, and unforgiving only hurts you. Try to talk with her to get closure here...but don't do it in an angry, ugly manner. It is unfortunate but true, that you cannot make someone be attracted to you just because you are. Similarly you cannot make someone love you, if they do not love you.

She enjoyed the attention you gave her as a way to stroke her ego. She appears to play with your emotions by being wishy washy in her feelings towards you. It would be best to continue as you are doing and make friends with other people. Ignor her attempts to get your attention as she is only out to play games. Best of luck to you!

Because she feels guilty about rejecting you, and is attempting to make up with you. Be reasonable, and at least discuss why you don't feel like speaking with her, instead of being immature and ignoring her.
