I'm going to the agency in DC because I do need a passport within the next 2 weeks. I read on other questions here that some said it's possible to get the passport in the same day... Is this true? If not, how long does it usually take? If anyone has been to the DC agency, what is the wait in line usually like?

I believe if you go in person you should get within a week. Be sure to bring proof of needing it for travel.

I went to the Whitby Office.. and got it there.. The line wasn't very long and we waited maybe half an hour.. ?

However I have to go to Scarborough on Monday to pick it up.. and it cost an extra $10 to rush it along
