husbands student loan?

Just a little other thing I should have put in my question we have paid on this student loan, monthly, bringing it down to 40,000.00. when we married it was a 52,000.00 balance

What is the question?

You have to pay student loans. Even if you declare bankruptcy, you still have to pay them after you go through the bankruptcy process. You borrowed the money and you have to pay it back.
