Check out this song:

My heart is like a house. One day I let the Savior in. There are many rooms we would visit now and then. Then one day He saw a door. I thought the day had come too soon, and said Jesus I'm not ready for us to enter into that room.
(chorus) Cause that's a place in my heart that even i don't go. Got some things hidden there, don't want no-one to know. But He handed me the key, tears of Love on His face. Said I want to make you free, just let me in your secret place.

So I opened up the door. And the two of us walked in. I was so ashamed , His Light revealed secret sin. But when I think about that room now, I'm not afraid any more, cause I know a secret sin no longer hides behind that door.

Is there a place in your heart, that even you don't go ? Got some things hidden there, you don' want no-one to know? Well He's handing you the key, with tears of love on His face. Jesus can make you freeeeeeee. Just let Him in your secret place.

I feel that I'm responsible for my own freedom i.e. freedom from suffering by eliminating the causes of suffering. It's very sweet of you to post the song, however.

Poetically, in English, at the instant... then probably confident. yet another languages have a distinctive metaphorical seat of the emotional self and words, translated actually, could pop out in English as "The liver of the project." "i be responsive to it in my liver". And it wasn't continuously coronary heart in English Philippians a million:8, KJV "For God is my checklist, how a great deal I long once you all interior the bowels of Jesus Christ." (and someplace else interior the KJV) Or Oliver Cromwell's famous plea to the Scottish clerics: "I beseech you, interior the bowels of Christ, think of it achieveable you're incorrect." coronary heart and fireplace do seem to be appropriate, yet are separate words back so some distance as my etymological dictionary can hint them. (an previous Germanic term, not Greek or Latin in beginning) yet, regardless of the indisputable fact that the imagery is obvious in cutting-side English, i want greater beneficial than the friendly photograph itself to be confident it represents something greater beneficial than a psychological photograph, an affiliation of words. and that's the midsection of the project.

Originally I thought you meant things that you hold in your heart from past hurts. That would've made a touching song.

Should've known that it meant some secret sin I'm supposed to be ashamed of. Color me disappointed. Same ole same ole.

Looking strictly at your original question, that's a very interesting one.

Yes, there are places in my heart that I don't go, shelves I don't look on. Somethings are better left tucked away for a while.

Interesting, but think I will keep my secret places a secret. They are mine after all. Nothing we do is a secret any ways.

You old hippie you. i am too
my family dieing in that wreck is where i don't go
Your Right of course. we shouldn't keep hidden the things that bother us as they will surface and hurt us if we don't give it all to God and his spirit and his son
I am constantly working at separating memory's from the emotions attached to them .
Peace

Christianity is about life and salvation, not sin and condemnation "old things have passed away" and "there is no condemnation for thoat put their faith in Christ."
No hidden closets unless I try to fool myself.
