Without changing the aircraft's equipment, the only way to affect the CG is by what you put in & take out of the aircraft. Either vary the amounts of fuel, baggage, or passengers, or the position where you place the latter two.

Total weight and position of that weight determine the CG.
So anything that adds weight or removes weight will affect the CG.. Add fuel, remove fuel, add baggage remove baggage, move seat forward, move seat aft all will indeed have some affect. Grabbing a fligth bag and putting on the dash rather than in the baggage area will shift the CG forward etc. Moving that bag back to the baggage are will move the CG back.
The only way to know you are within the safe envelope is to do a weight and balance.

In a 150, you don't have many options. Other then moving or reducing the load, the only other way is to reduce fuel load. Considering the fuel and the seats in a 150 are in nearly the same place, it may not give you much of a change in CG.

One of the beautiful things about the Cessna 150 is that it is not prone to CG problems. As long as you're not trying to haul a bunch of boat anchors in the back, it is almost impossible to get the little guy out of the envelope. That's part of why it makes such a great trainer, unlike the Piper Tomahawk which killed people with its CG problems and wound up in re-certification.

Carry on a 50 lb. weight and put it in the seat next to you or behind you, wherever you want to shift weight... this technique is acually used by SAAB 340's, they often have to throw in dead-weight to the cargo hold to make sure the plane is balanced...
