Yes, maybe too open. I try to understand both sides to every story and I usually make my stand somewhere in-between. The problem is I don't take much of a strong stand on many issues only on a few, so I cannot ever argue my point very well. However, I think it is unfortunate that many people are not open minded and are very narrow minded and stubborn. On the flip side I do admire people that take a strong stand on issues they believe in, as long as they know the facts.

Way too much...... I'm one of those doormats that let people walk all over me. Finally I'm changing for the better, and have learned from some of life's lessons to care better for myself, and learn to be a bit more private concerning my personal affairs. Generally I find that most people don't want to know me personally, they are too stuck in their own rut to allow for interpersonal communication. I practically live off of my emotions, so that's probably why I'm so open. Yes, sometimes I sulk and sink into myself, and at those times I'm not so open about myself.

Low Road, are you writing a book here? Smile.
The times I am not open are the times things are getting a bit out of hand. So I close myself up. Mostly to re-think. Readjust. And finally decide.

Being open to new ideas doesn't mean you forego all your moral values. There are many a new idea that proves to be stupid or dangerous in the end. Having the ability to see this, and not be open to it, shows wisdom and intelligence.

i am totally open i think that is the best thing to be -people really need to know who you are and what you believe in and -people who are not open try to pretend they are something they are not and it kicks them in the butt later somehow or another

It depends on who I'm talking to. I have a lot of friends, but we don't get emotional with each other, so I'm usually closed off to them. There are only one or two people to whom I can really say what's on my mind.
