Because Christianity is likely the only faith you've been taught to believe is a threat to your Jewish faith.
Have you been taught the Hindu faith is an abomination and a threat? No. How about Buddhism? Probably not.
But Christianity? Most definately YES.

Probably because you are trying to discuss it in a reasonable and logical fashion. By their very nature all religions rely on faith in an intangible entity that cannot be proven to exist, and in miracles that are either fabrications or wild distortions of actual events.
But that is not to say that there is no place for religion in modern life. I am an atheist myself, but have come to realize that many people need to believe that there is an afterlife and things will be better for them once they move on. And whats wrong with a system of beliefs that encourages you to treat your fellow human beings with respect?
In fact if you remove all references to God, worship and miracles from the New Testament, what you are left with is the first self help book about how to be a better person and live a full and happy life.

I have the same problem. There really are a lot of very good and kind people who happen to be Christians out there, but I can't help going into sarcasm mode when I talk about Christianity. I think it's the flawed logic of the fundies that puts us in intellectually superior mode. It's unfortunate, though, because I really don't want to ridicule the faith of a good and kind person... it's kind of uncontrollable sometimes, though!

I think it is the unrealistic nature of christian's "beliefs". So many of them are absolutely blind in their belief and simply shout "satan" at you if you challenge them to actually think. How can we NOT be sarcastic about these real-life caricatures of frothing-at-the-mouth stupidity?
Not all of them, of course - many of them will actually sit down and discuss rationally - but enough to be viewed as the majority.
I've never known a person of ANY other faith to be like this.
Personally I know EXACTLY what you mean. Since coming onto Yahoo Answers my attitude towards christians has gone from general apathy to sarcastic derision. They are the best detractors from their own faith, so the atheists can all just put their feet up and laugh..... Isn't it ironic?

Ditto everything you say, except that I don't find the religion itself implausible, I find the behaviour of most christians implausible in their reasoning and disccusions on religion in general.

How about it is because Christianity exposes the wicked intent of your heart, showing you that your ways are evil? That it forces you to face the facts about yourself and your decisions. Your sarcasm is a foolish attempt to justify your own (un)beliefs. Your continued angst shows that it doesn't work. The truth remains. All of your scoffing and mocking of God, religion, and/or believers will not change that.

HI
maybe fustration comes without a true understanding. Try studying the Bible more and you won't become so sacarstic, with knowledge comes understanding, with understanding comes wisdom.
