Jehovah's Witnesses believe that the vast majority of humankind has an earthly hope. The bible teaches that no human who lives forever in God's restored paradise earth will want anything!

(Psalm 145:14-16) Jehovah is giving support to all... You are opening your hand And satisfying the desire of every living thing.

Your friend is obviously not a Jehovah's Witness.

First, we don't gamble. The lotto ticked crock he told you was not true - or funny in my opinion.

Second, the number is determined by God. Read Revelation 14:1 and see for yourself. It's a select 144,000. I have no control, and no other man has control. Now at Revelation 7:9 it speaks of a great crowd which no man was able to number. The crowd, you can be a part of. But it takes work. John 17:3 states you have to take in knowledge. Not just any knowledge, but ACCURATE knowledge of God and his son Jesus Christ.

Now, does that answer your question?

What, don't like God's Green Earth?

Afraid of life everlasting, without aging or ill health, the hard work ahead to rebuild the Earth back into a Paradise?

Worse yet, heading out into the Universe to explore the rest of God's creation and terrforming other planets for humans to live on.

You could even be saddled with having 100% use of your mental capabilities, resulting in being able to explore the Universe even without a space ship.

Tithing replaced into in person-friendly words required of the 12 tribes of the Israelites to help the Levites of their priestly responsibilities. It does no longer note to Christians. The clergy of Christians DID verify that it replaced right into a strong money pass software and calls for it of the sheep that they are shearing. As everybody is regularly occurring with of, the living house continuously wins with Lotto.

Unfortunately like you pointed out most of Christianity thinks all they have to do is believe in God and they will go to heaven but Jesus was clear that it is in what you do, your "works" will allow treasures to be stored in heaven.

Jam 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Mat 6:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.

Looks like people of faith don't have a sense of humor.
Eternal life has always been for sale at your friendly, albeit humorless, local place of worship.
The ticket price is high, and you're pressured to pay weekly for your lottery ticket , but, hey, isn't eternal life worth it?
Eternal life has long been the hottest selling item on earth, and there is no shortage of buyers or sellers.
And even the United States IRS allows you deduct the cost of lottery ticket to eternal life. What's not to love?
Tell me if you win.

I think you should't insult people just because you do not understand them. I am not JW but lets be fair to each other.
