I have heard of names such as the a-team (worth millions), and curtis warren (supposedly worth 1 billion), and john haase (heroin dealer)

I can't see the krays being up there.

1) They were active in the 60s so inflation will diminish their wealth.
2) They didn't sell drugs (i think).
3) As one journalit put it "next to (curtis) warren, the krays were pathetic minnows"
