i seen on tv on a news chn that this inmate was holding the othere guys pulled out pocket of his pants which is supposed to mean he is his owner and he follows the guy around all day holding his pocket intereior how come the guards allow this isntthis rape and how come they hand out co=ndoms in prison when these poor guys are gettin goosed?

Yes it is true that many "weaker" inmates are preyed upon by the stronger, more powerful ones. Yes prison rape does exsist, but so does consentual sex. Now as to why they pass out condoms in prison...That is because no matter how hard they try they cannot stop the sex that goes on in prison. There simply are not enough guards to keep an eye on all the inmates activities. Throughout the 80's and 90's there was a huge explosion in the number of inmates infected with HIV/AIDS, hepatitis C, and other STD's. Unable to stop the problem of inmate rape or sex they decided to offer condoms to the inmates to try to stop the spread of these infectious diseases.
Sadly, there are as many corrupt prison guards on the inside as there are inmates. I've been involved in human rights activism for many years, and this includes pushing for prison reform. I've seen story after story where the guards not only encourage, but force, inmates to fight, torture, even murder other inmates. Many states have problems with the guards forming their own gangs...hard as this may be for many to believe, it's true. You can research it here on the net.

It's because as a whole, they (corrections officers) can't control that kind of thing. Sure the officers have authority but the prison system is a little different than the rest of the world and has to be handled as such. Now in the prison state (Texas), it's very under control but as for Cali and other states, well, they're working on it.
And with over-crowding in many states plus the bad design of some prisons, it's hard to segregate offenders who are predators/victims of rape. Remember, not all the ones on the "recieving" end are exactly the victims.

Yes there is rape, but there is also consensual sex among same sex prisoners as well.

Not all prison sex is non-consensual. The ones doing the raping probably aren't using the condoms.

They have too much free time to do this stuff let them take care of their own housing and food and they will be too tired for all that crap and I think it is a sin the way the prisoners have a free ride.
