An 11 month old should have at least 2 and half hours sleep a day and more if you are very active with him, you can expect this until at least 18 months and then it may be that you can drop his morning sleep, if you are trying to stop him sleeping start putting him to bed 5 minutes later than you do already, so if he goes down at 10am then wait until 10,05 and then the following week 10,10 and so on.
I have a 2 year old charge who has just stopped taking her morning nap but now sleeps 2 and half hours in the afternoons but her friend sleeps for only an hour and a half.
Good luck

You can expect the change when his little body decides it's ready. There is no set time it takes place. Every child is different and their sleep needs are different. My oldest only ever took one nap a day. It's all he would sleep. My middle child took two naps a day til she was almost 3. My youngest child took 2 naps a day til she was 2 then down to 1 and by age 3 none. Just watch for signs he's ready for a change.

I think my daughter was about 14-15 months when she eased into it. She altered between 1 and 2 naps a day for about a month.

I expect these naps are different for each child. Just let his nap time come when he feels the need. I do suggest early afternoon naps so he will sleep better at night.

Hey, rejoice that your son takes even one nap a day! Some Moms are just begging there kid to sleep for even an hour. My one year old takes 2 naps a day also, and he is healthier and happier for it...so don't push him to "grow up"...he will before you know it!

Mine all dropped their morning nap around a year, so watch for signs soon that he is ready to drop it--harder to put down for the first nap, harder for the second nap too since he's not tired enough because he had the first nap, etc.
