I've lost 40lbs in the last 8 months.
I stopped eating after 7pm.
I ate smart.
Brown rice, whole wheat bread.
Once big help is I discovered spaghetti squash.
Lost of chicken, tuna (I don't like other fish), fruit and raw veggies.
My downfall is sugar and sweets.
So I was very very careful not to have too much of that.
I do treat myself.
I have what I call a cheat day.
If I'm good for the week, I can have that ice cream or fast food.
I also try to stay moving.
I have a 10 min walk to work,so that's sometimes 20-40 right there.
I started ice skating in the winter, tones of swimming in the summer, and lots of walks.
Keep your excersie fun .
I've taken up belly dancing too.
Even just parking your car accross the other end of the parking lot when you shopping will help over time.
All these thing comdined have made a differnance.
I was a plus size 22 last April and now I'm in a 18.
But don't try to loose it too quickly.
Your body needs time to addjust.
Don't do the surgury
I had a freind that did that, it worked for a bit.
She lost 200lbs, but now she is starting to gain again.
Don't take those pills
PLEASE.
ask your freinds to help you.
Set small goals.
I literally just did one pund at a time.
Remeber you didn't gain it all at once and it won't be gone all at once.
Good Luck to you my dear.

I've always found pilates to work really well for just toning and losing a few pounds. I use Windsor Pilates. There is a 20 minute workout, 50 minutes workout, and problem area workouts. Even doing it 3 or 4 times a week for 20 minutes, you will see results in 2 months. They say after 10 workouts you will notice results and 20 workouts others will. I have always had compliments after 10 workouts from other people that have noticed. They are well worth the money and have come in handy for me more than once! Also, drink a lot of water and cut back on sweets if you eat a lot of them. Try to eat healthier with fruits and veggies. Good luck!

The secret is acknowledging the true purpose of food as fuel rather than entertainment. Focus on protein, fats, and carbohydrates and learn about each of them. A little bit of research online will teach you a lot. Remember, don't diet; change your eating lifestyle. Doing so will change your life for the better. For the exercise, consider it a priority to include it into your routine.
Anyway, if you want it simple, here it is in ten steps:
1. protein is good...eat plenty (about 30% of your caloric intake)
2. fats are good and bad...know the difference
3. saturated and trans fats are the bad ones - limit these
4. poly- and mono-unsaturated fats are good - don't be afraid of them
5. carbohydrates are good and bad...know the difference
6. fibers and complex carbs are the good ones - eat these (about 40% of your caloric intake)
7. sugars and simple carbs are the bad ones - limit these, particularly late in the day (stay away from sodas and chips!)
8. drink water - lots and lots and lots of water. It's the only drink you need. Anything else is either wasted or simply bad for you
9. Eat 4-6 "meals" a day to boost your metabolism.
10. A meal is defined as a portion of a low-fat, protein rich entree, a portion of veggies for vits/mins, and a portion of complex carbs. (You can get these combined as a health shake)
For exercise, it's even simpler:
1. 4-6 hours per week
2. 45-90 min each day you exercise
3. do aerobic exercise (20-40 min) every day you exercise
4. work abdominals every day you exercise (between sets makes it easy)
5. do chest and triceps exercises on one day
6. do back and biceps exercises on a different day
7. do legs and shoulder exercises on a different day
8. do your exercises in sets (i.e. 3 times with 6-12 repetitions each)
9. keep a record of what you do to measure progress.
10. when your progress stalls (called "plateau"), switch up your routine.

Diet and exercise, but make it fun.Substitute bottle of cold water for a soda pop each day. Walk your dog twice as far as usual. Bend at the waist instead of your knees to pick something up. Get outside and walk around your neighborhood or your property(if you live on a farm ). Walk a little faster and burn a few extra calories. Eat slower meals. Drink 3 times as much water as you do now. Peeing more won t hurt you. Good luck

Eat protein as it fills you up for long periods of time. Combine it with carbohydrates as they slowly release energy throughout the day. Remember that your body still needs a small amount of fat and salt and other groups such as fibre. You may like to increase your exercise rate and find out exercises to tone the bits you want to slim such as sit ups for your stomach. Try to eat the biggest meal at breakfast time as you will burn all the energy from it off. Rather than eating the big meal at dinner when you burn the least amount of energy because you are sleeping.

You can loose a kilo a week easy without exercise with the following, and reduces hunger pangs, and brings you back to a normal weight, while focusing on low GI.
> Plenty of water, no sugar, no white bread.
> Breakfast : banana, skim milk, qtr tsp honey milk shake
Coffee (no sugar)
> Mid Morning : Small mixture of nuts, saltanas, carrots sticks
> Lunch : Mixed salad, lettuce, olives, cucumber, cheese, smoked salmon or chicken pieces
> Afternoon : Apple, rest of nuts, cup of tea (no sugar)
> While making dinner : Small amount of cheese, olives, 5 rice crackers, 1 small glass of wine
> Dinner : Steak, Chicken or fish, small amount of sweet potato, OR corn, OR pumpkin, green vegetables, some carrot
> Dessert : 2 spoonpulls of tinned fruit, and small yogurt
The secret :
= Snack on small cheese, and small crackers, makes dinner feel fulle rin your tummy. You will sleep better too.
= STAY AWAY from sugar, morning cereals, white bread, white rice, white potato, cookies, cakes, icecream, lollies
= Stay busy, and snack on apple, nuts, 2 coffees in the morning, and a tea at night keeps away hunger pangs.
= the banana gives you energy, and goodness in the mornng, while the coffee wakes you up, and kick starts metab.
I feel more energy than I have ever felt before, have a post baby body at 76 kgs, and went down to 67 kgs in 2 months, and have kept it off for 2 years. Bread now gives me a headache, so I limit it to 1 slice fo toast every 2nd morn, or a salad sandwhich 2 times a week, or icecream and wafers every sat night.
The key is staying away from wheat, and sugar, and white potato.
if you can do this, you will not believe the change in your personality, sex life, skin tone, size, positive attitude, brain power, energy, and the length of your life.
After the first week - it is so damn easy. I have never looked back - only to take my larger clothes to St Vinnies op shop.
You know you can do it.
If you get time to go walking in the mornng or afternoon, then that will speed up the process by 20 %

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!
