My son is 17,he lost his father 5 years ago,He loves gocarts and recently purchased a jet engine from ebay and is putting it on the gocart .I'm worried. what are the most important safety issues I should be concerned about ?

I think if your son and his dad raced go carts together then the dad most likely told your son about the safety issues. I would talk to your son and see if he knows then go from there. SO SORRY about your loss.

Your son is old enough to realize any safety issues that may present itsself.

Just be happy that your son is continuing the passion and fun that he used to share with his father.

Hmm, I remember seeing a video where a small jet engine was put on a go cart. It was really scary.

Is there a peer or technical friend that you can ask to make sure that he is not overdoing it?
