I bought my fiance a celtic wedding band and would like " My Friend, My Husband " to be engraved on it. Problem is, I don't know how to translate it to Gaelic/Irish.

Any suggestions?

The people above have it slightly wrong. It's "mo chara, m'fhear chéile".

(the reason is you have to put a "h" in after the word "mo" meaning "my", just to let you know.)

The translation you want is 'Mo Chara, Mo fear cheile'
Mo Chara means my friend and Mo Fear Cheile means My Husband. Hope this helps!

Aw, that's nice. I want to get our wedding rings engraved with the wedding date. What ur looking for is "Mo cara, mo fear ceile" (there's an accent on the first "e" in ceile) The words mo and cara sound like they spell and fear ceile sounds like "far kayla"
Can I ask why u want it engraved in Irish? Is he Irish?

"Mo chara, Mo fhear cheile"
But wouldn't "Mo chara, mo chroi" sound better?
It means my friend, my heart.
