I am making a sauce for beef. Recipe calls for dry red wine. Any suggestions? I want a tasty one. THANKS!!!!!

barefoot makes a pretty good cabernet sauvignon. pretty cheap, too. u can get a 1.5 ML bottle for around $9, depending on where ya live. corbett canyon makes a decent merlot. glen ellen, too. around the same price.
but if u just need a wine for cooking, doesn't matter TOO much.

If you live in the States and want a dry red not just for the sauce but also to drink,and you live near a licensed Trader Joe's store try a "Three Buck Moe" (J. W. Morris brand, which is a TJ's private label). In my (and friends') opinions spending the extra dollar for Moe versus TJ's Two Buck Chuck for reds is well worth it.

I, too, think Barefoot is the best bet. Either cabernet sauvignon or merlot. Both are excellent and inexpensive!

i agree with the barefoot vineyards option. also, a beaujolais is a good one to try...
