I beleive it is because of the vitamin K contained in cucumbers.

It works both by cooling and by moisturizing. It also helps that you have to sit back, close your eyes and relax since that helps reduce stress which is a big part of what makes eyes look funny.
Do not use anything from the freezer as the eye area has very delicate skin and you will damage it.
Moist tea bags work by helping reduce swelling, same as when you have a gum problem or lost tooth.

Get a cucumber and slice 2 products off ( about 3mm each). Then, lay down someplace you experience snug, and positioned some headphones in or some thing, to save you chuffed at the same time as doing this. Now, get both products of cucumber, and gently pat one on each eye. Lay your head down and unfasten up. save them on there for about quarter-hour, and this can cool your eyes and with any success help you with the baggage in case you save doing it about each 2-3 weeks.:)

Actually even my beautician recommends it to me.Its inexpensive and altho it wudnt make the eyebags "dissapear",it wud help reduce it.Just slices of it over ur eyes.U can use it on ur face too, to help hydrate it.If my beautician recommends it,i guess it cant be all that bad.

I think it has to do with the fact that its cold and people think its soothing. You can probably get a similar effect from putting a spoon in the freezer for 10 mins and then holding it over your eyes. Personally, I just soak cotton balls in witch hazel and put them over my eyes and that seems to do the trick.
