I'm a 22 year old woman and I want to lose about 10 kilos. If I swim daily and eat well, will I be able to lose weight? Is swimming considered cardio? I also want to tone up but I don't want to bulk up and get all muscley. I am planning on swimming daily as well as a few aerobics sessions a week, will these exercises make me lose weight? P.s I will be eating a healthy low-calorie diet also.

Swimming is a fantastic exercise-especially if you are doing laps. Also, it is extremely difficult for a woman to "bulk up". We just don't have the testosterone in our bodies to produce bulky muscles. Your arms and legs will produce lean muscle which will look toned and firm. You will definatly lose weight with diet and exercise! Fewer calories eaten/ or more burned - then your body needs to maintain your current weight = weight loss!! Calculate your current weight x 10. That is roughly how many calories you need to stay the SAME weight.
By the way-did you know that women (and men) who strength train burn calories even while resting? That is because your body burns calories when rebuilding your muscle after a workout. Add some weight training to your exercise program, and you will burn calories while you sleep!

Swimming is good if you do enough of it.

Standing at the end of the pool talking doesn't count, only the time you're actually moving from one end of the pool to the other.

Aerobically, I consider a mile swim equal to 4 miles running. Swimming doesn't burn quite as many calories per hour though, because its not weight-bearing.

If you have the time to put into it, you CAN burn more calories swimming because you can do it a lot longer. If you were to run for two hours straight, you'd have to take a day off for sore legs. Swimming you could go right back and do it again the next day.

Don't worry about bulk. Female swimmers build muscle, but its the smooth attractive kind, not scary.

Hey I'm right along with you https://tr.im/DailyNewsTrends i weighed 150 and now i weigh 142 i lost 8 pounds in a week i posted a question about my diet i don't know

how i can get you to look at it! I'm on the diet but i do pay for it and the classes all i do is make sure i have money. I'm 5'2 22 years old a female and weighed 150 lol i now weigh 142 and it's only been my first week of dieting. I know it's probably water weight but girl it works just follow what i have to say!

You don't have to work out but i mean walking 2 miles or 3 miles a day won't hurt just speeds up the process! Do not eat after 7pm but drink water to fill you up! Drink water all day but not too too much just after every meal you eat!

Start off with a cup of cereal and a half cup of milk a day! Than have a 100 calorie snack about 2 hours after your breakfast. Than have a Smart Ones meal for lunch,

another 100 calorie snack a couple hours after that. Than for dinner another Smart Ones meal, and for a dessert have another 100 calorie snack or something small. But

don't eat past 7pm. It really works. I mean i been wanting to get under that 150 mark for the longest and i finally did it I'm 142 now and its only Saturday! lose weight very fast very quickly

It will work just keep your mind to it. Stay positive! Things happen in time. Just don't eat fast food don't drink sodas and definitely don't eat SWEETS! lose weight very fast very quickly

Swimming is one of the best all around exercises. It is easy on the body, low impact on the joints, and can be done even by people with fairly severe arthritis.

Be sure to do several different strokes and consider doing it only 3 or 4 times a week as daily can lead to burn out and overdoing it which is a leading cause of people giving up on an exercise program.

Be sure to keep your protein and essential vitamin/mineral levels up though or you will deprive your body of what it needs to repair sore muscles.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!
