Looking down the barrel of a loaded M-14 with open sights at a target, an enemy of the United States, about 250 yards off, no crosswind.
Then getting the order not to fire, because they are calling in something else.
2 minutes later, the whole block disappears, lighting up the sky for a full 10 seconds.
Why? PAYBACK.

It's sitting upright in an airplane seat beside my husband with a plastic glass of diet coke and a wee little bag of nuts, looking out at white clouds as we go up, up, up and away headed through the sky to Montego Bay. I know I'll soon be there, under the palms, beside blue water, chatting with friends, and getting my feet dirty in the grass, as I go skipping to and fro from the beach to our cottage. Later, I may assume other lovely positions.....I have too many favorites to mention here.
