At least Im there to protect their lives by trying to get them out of a war that has nothing to do with us. The conservatives wont be happy till we've killed off a few more of our soldiers in a needless war.

But dont worry they will be buried with full military honours. So that makes everything alright then .......... (I was using sarcasm there in case it didnt come across!)

I am proud to protect your right to speak your mind.

But don't waste your time trying to get us out of the conflict. Why would you? All you are doing is hastening out next entry to Iraq. Once we withdraw, the void we leave behind will be filled with an invading country then my Soldiers will have to go BACK into this hell hole and fight an enemy ten time tougher than what we are fighting now.

Why would you want to do that to us?

Which part was sarcastic, you do not think people are intelligent or the fact that you call whining and bitching trying to protect lives.

If i told you that your livelyhood and you losing your life for a certain cause was for nothing, how would you feel.

The soldier and the cause are synonymous to a certain point. You are not doing any soldier a favor by constantly twisting facts and looking from an agenda driven point of view.

Step back, use logic and wake the F&*K up!

Then have a valid argument that is not about your politics.

There isn't anything more that can be said in response to this that hasn't already been said by all the proud military and vets that have already posted. Bleeding heart liberals don't deserve the freedom of speech that our soldiers are fighting and dying for.

I think that soldiers are proud to be defending the rights of all Americans but I doubt that many of them ascribe to your view of things, and being that we have a PROFESSIONAL military, I doubt that they appreciate that AMATEURS like yourself think that you know more about them and their missions than they themselves know. I seriously doubt that they want or need your help.

What you are saying about Conservatives just serves to illustrate how sick and twisted your opinions really are. You have no right, and certainly no background to speak for what Conservatives want or don't want. Speaking as a Conservative, I can tell you that you're full of baloney if that's what you really believe.

Most servicemen and women possess a sense of honor, duty and loyalty that you will never be able to comprehend with your closed, little mind. They have enough courage and love of country to protect and defend even those most critical of everything they believe in, because that is, after all, America. You are clearly far more concerned with your poor attempt at witty sarcasm and criticism of our country than you are with the welfare of our bravest. You may be critical of our politicians and the war, but in a desperate attempt to find a legitimate point you have resorted to disgracing the dead and the way we honor their sacrifice. Don't do that again.

Soldiers are proud to serve their country and defend the rights of all it's citizens. More liberals need to protest the war and not condemn the soldiers fighting it.

I really get frustrated that this forum is used as a sounding board for personal beliefs, rather than to simply answer the questions.

That being said, please keep in mind that there are many, many people who would be considered "liberals" by definition who are actually in the military and proudly serving their country. Contrary to popular belief, and what is on this board (and I honestly believe at least half of the people on here who claim to be in the Armed Forces are not, just based on the way they describe their experiences), the Armed Forces have a wide variety of personalities, including Democrats and "liberals".

Yes, a soldier is PROUD to defend your right to be a liberal. A soldier is PROUD to serve to protect the rights of all American citizens, no matter what.

Be safe in your bed at night knowing a soldier is standing guard upon your freedom.

OUR soldiers defend everybody living in the USA. They are a proud bunch of men and women there . They are the proud ones!!
And i hope they get to come home soon to be with their families
