Anyone who puts their hand to the plow and looks back, is not fit for the kingdom. (And) Give no thought for tommorrow, for tommorrow will have its own,

Strange, nothing is said of the present. Or all that is. The kingdom is not in the past. Thinking about tomorrow is not necessary. Strange also how so many "think" the kingdom is coming very soon. Ha,ha. What is said is to live in the eternal now.

Ever plow a field? I have and it's not as simple as it seems. Trying to keep your animal on a path not yet made is hard to do when you are also struggling to hold the plow with both hands. Looking back will only cause your horse/oxen to vary off the path and totally mess up your straight path. Also, there is no need to look back, all you will see is churned up earth awaiting seed.

So my interpretation is that God does not want us to "plow" for Him if we are going to do it the wrong way; He also does not want us looking back over our successes (or failures), but to keep plowing on :)

Btw, I don't know the not looking back verse, and couldn't find it in the Bible, perhaps it comes from elsewhere?

Oh, the give no thought to tomorrow is, I think, wrongly stated. I believe the verse is "take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof". I think that is pretty clear, it means deal with one day at a time, don't worry about the future because it doesn't do any good, you've got enough just dealing with today" :)

A) When you become a Christian you enter the Kingdom of God. You are a new person and you are not supposed to look back with longing to your old life.
B) Live in the present not the future
"Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof" is the rest of the verse. Solve the problems of today and leave the future to God.

In former situations it grow to be seen wiser that lady shouldn't comprehend a thank you to envision or write; she ought to occupy herself purely with drudgery. She grow to be very ignorant. Baha'u'llah proclaims the preparation of lady to be of extra magnitude than that of guy. If the mum be ignorant, whether the father have super awareness, the baby's preparation would be at fault, for preparation starts with the milk. a baby on the breast is variety of a young branch that the gardener can practice as he wills. The East has started to coach its women. some there are in Persia who've grow to be liberated by way of this reason, whose cleverness and eloquence the 'ulama can not refute. a lot of them are poets. they're definitely fearless....i wish for a like degree of progression between the girls of Europe -- that each and each would shine like unto a lamp; that they'd cry out the proclamation of the dominion; that they'd somewhat help the adult males; nay, that they could be even extra advantageous to the adult males, versed in sciences and yet indifferent, so as that the whole international would undergo witness to the incontrovertible fact that ladies and adult males have definitely a similar rights. it can be a reason for super excitement for me to be certain such women. it is smart paintings; by employing it lady will enter into the dominion. in any different case, there'll be no consequences.

When plowing a person wants nice straight rows, looking back will cause you to go of course.
Looking back at things left behind is a sign of longing for those things.

Read the whole teaching:

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Don't look back. The past is over...it's about what lies ahead. NO one knows what that may or may not be...so you can't plan out tomorrow cuz between now and then, things will change. Live for right now!

Once you decide to do something just do it don't second guess your decision.

Worrying about what might be going to happen tomorrow takes up valuable time that you could be using to deal more effectively with your current situation today.
