I went to a dermatologist (that, after meeting him I don't trust him too well) that gave me a 2 months suply of retin-a. I had really gone there to treat scars, but he said only a plastic surgeon can treat that.
Anyway, I only have ONE pimple on my face... just one. He said to put retin-a on every night and then use 10% benzyl peroxide (clean & clear) every morning.
I looked online to research retin-a and it says you should use it only once every other night and do NOT use any benzyl peroxide. Because it will irritated, dry your face and make it peel.
Why would he tell me to use it so much for just one pimple??? (which I had even told him, was the first one I'd had in months). All I wanted was to treat the red marks and scars and I thought thats what a dermatologist does?!?!
